It's a Sad Day

Last night I had to take pictures of my tulips.
Tomorrow winter comes back. But today my
heart is sad because a friend has died. Since
we moved to our condo, I've been visiting
teaching with Gay. Two years ago,her husband
died and she missed him so. In December she
got the "flu" and just couldn't seem to get
well. She found out her 16 year old
granddaughter was going to have a baby
and it was so upsetting for her, she thought
that is why she couldn't get better.
Two weeks ago they found she had lymphoma.
She went into the hospital and never came out.
She was a very service oriented person, always
doing something for someone and saying hello
to the neigbors. Her street is going to have a
an empty space which can't be filled. She was
the ward chorister and choir practice was at
her house. Her father, who is 102, gave her a
blessing that she would get well and go home.
She did go home--to her Father in Heaven.
We'll miss her. I'll miss you Gay.
